Arrest made after man, 50, found dead in Cheetham Hill in Manchester

Detectives have made an arrest after a man, aged 50, was found dead in Cheetham Hill on Woodlands Street. Nadeem Butt was discovered by paramedics at a property on Woodlands Street in Manchester. He was found at about 2pm on Wednesday, August 5th.

Murder Investigation Launched

A murder investigated was launched after the death of a man, Nadeem Butt, in Cheetham Hill, Manchester. Police were called to the scene at Cheetham Hill by paramedics on Woodlands Street on Wednesday. Police officers from North Manchester swiftly launched an investigation into the suspicious death and murder of Nadeem Butt.

A post-mortem examination of Nadeem Butt’s body has since been carried out. The police have concluded that Mr Butt was seriously assaulted prior to his death. Detective Chief Inspector Liam Boden, of Greater Manchester Police’s Major Incident Team, said officers were working together to piece Mr Butt’s last movements together. The Detective Chief Inspector had said that he would like to extend the deepest sympathies to Nadeem Butt’s loved ones at this ‘unimaginably difficult time’.

Man Arrested on Suspicion of Murder

Following the ongoing investigation of the murder of Nadeem Butt, an arrest has been made. An unnamed man of 45 years of age has been held on suspicion of murder. The Detective Chief Inspector Liam Boden has stated that while the police have made an arrest, the enquiries into Nadeem Butt’s murder are very much ongoing. The man who was arrested for the Cheetham Hill murder has since been released on bail.
